This is my first Eheim and so far im ready to throw it in the trash!! No matter wht I do the damn thing keeps leaking at the seal where the top and the tank go togather. Am I doing something wrong?? Is there a gasket I am missing??
Can somebody help me??????? AAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
although im not familiar with the pro two most eheims do have a rubber ring that seal them. if you dont have this then a trip to any good fish shop should solve the problem.
Yes, there must be a rubber gasket (spare part "sealing gasket # 7343150" for Eheim 2226, 2228, 2326, 2328). It fits snugly into a groove in the top of the filter. It's black. Make sure it's there. Also, make sure it is positioned correctly (press it in firmly), make sure it's not damaged (do not use tools to push it in or to remove it) and make sure there is nothing stuck to it, possibly preventing it from forming a seal with the canister.
Check out your Eheim manual. It has detailled drawings of the filter, its components, and - if needed - the spare part numbers.
Did you buy it new? Then go to the shop and ask for a replacement!
If u Have alll the gaskets that are needed try putting a small amount ( very small just enough to lube it) of Vasoline one the gaskets ..this work very well in that case
