I have the Pro II 2026. It has 2 baskets and the space underneath it. I was wondering if I could put Biomedia in both baskets and then on the bottom of the cannister put Eheim Mechanical media? I would have the filter pads in each basket and one at the bottom of the bottom basket. Do you think this would be ok? Heres a diagram of what I want to try.

I wouldn't recommend putting any media below the bottom tray. Eheim canisters usually have that empty space to allow any larger debris/sand to collect there.

Very nice drawing by the way.

haha thanks

What if I didnt have the media that high. There wont be a pad under the bottom tray. It will be in the second tray at the bottom. The media that im gonna have at the bottom are ceramic rings.

The filter is not designed to have media in that small space below the bottom media container. The filter pads are meant to be installed in the top of the media tray.

You can try it anyway you want too but I see no reason to deviate the media stacking arrangement different than designed. Of course you can use different media than Eheim but that is up to you.
