alrite so im going to be buying 3 eheim professinal 2 canister filters tomorrow for 200 dollars
witch is a pritty sick deal but the guy said that the flow rate of the canisters wernt the same power from when he first bought them.he said hes cleaned the filter an the flow rate was just not the same as it use to be has anyone had this same problem and or have any ideas how to fix this issue

might need new impellers.

yea thats what i was thinking i asked him if hes ever change them an he said not they still spin and dont make any noise that would be great if it was that simple

they might need new ones or to be cleaned - ive have fliter once i cleaned the impeller they were like new an the flow rate was not very good b4

I had two Eheim 2028 Pro II for 3 years and never any problem. Just be careful when working with plastics and you will not encounter any problem. I used my Eheim mainly for bio bacteria and use my Emp400 to catch all the gunk. I can show you how much gunks build up in my Emp 400.

djb, which model number Eheim Pro filters did you get? Hopefully you also received at least one owners manual with them, as their is a lot of good info in them.

One other reason people see a reduced flow on the Pro filters is that they are missing the short hose joint input connector that connects the top media basket to the pump head. If it's not missing, it might be inserted improperly or too deeply in the media basket.

yea i ended uo buying all 3 for 200 bucks pluged them all in to see if they kicked on and they all did so i took a chance it did come with a manual.ther was extra parts seals the whole 99 years i cleaned them changed all the seals thay work great, except when they shut off the power during the night to fix the powerlines after the storman 1 leaked everywhere like about 10 to 15 gallons on my flore it was a mess good thing i work up randomly in the night,i couldnt see an walked right in a puddle
