Howdy,

I generally avoid combo equipment. You're without heater if the filter breaks. You need to send the entire filter in for repair if just the heater breaks.

I have one and i tell you, its graet you can pluge in or not when running your canister it has its own cord but make sure the canister its runing when conect the heater
