Hi,

I have an Eheim 2262, currently i have a 40w Swimming pool UV filter inline with the canister pump outlet, i.e. the clean water comes out of the canister and through the UV then back into the tank return line.

I was thinking to buy the Reeflux 800, which is suitable for tanks up to 800l (apparently) but noticed it only had a flow rate of 1200l/h.

I was wondering is it worth the money to get the Eheim UV, or should i stick with my more powerful 40w UV?

The sterilizer I currently have is:

Thanks in advance.

The uv you have is fine. If the bulb is old you may benefit from a new bulb.
I would tee the return and valve it to slow the water down going through the uv light to get more contact time. Or add a small pump like a 100-200 gph to run the uv separate.

So e even though my current uv is rated up to 4700l/h, you think I should still slow the flow rate through the uv?
