Hello all, I am a Noobie looking for answers here
smile.gif

I never really owned more than a 55 with HOB's
But I recently bought a 75 with a eheim pro 2 off a friend of mine for $200
anyways I got the tank all cleaned up and painted the way I like and when
I set up the filter it has a feed and a return tube(duh). Now on the return tube it has
a loop that goes over the edge of the tank and thats it. I searched on there
Web site and it is supposed to have a long tube that connects to that and has some holes in it
like in this pic

can i just use it without this long tube? and also I have the return dropping the water above the water line
and its kind of loud , can i place the tube into the water? the picture shows it like that

The tube with the holes in it is the spraybar & it is usually attached to the aquarium with 2 suction cups. It's not required but it does allow you to direct the return water in a more gentle stream. Just make sure the return elbow you do have, is secure so it won't 'pop' out of the tank.

Congratulations on your new purchases. Great prices!!

Yes be cautious that no matter what you do that return pipe stays where it is supposed to. I would reccomend either plumbing it yourself or making your own spray bar. Or ordering one and rude goldberg it so its tight to the aquarium
