I was doing some cleaning on my Eheim 2217 and I've broken the impeller shaft/axl. :(
(The little ceramic thing that goes into the impeller? I think)
Does anyone know where I can get this? Most places online are saying about £10 for it!
I found one that is, I think, £5 something with delivery. It comes with the 'bushings' also, what are they used for?
Does this sound like a reasonable price? Can it be bought cheaper?

Thanks!

i would avoid that site, ive ordered twice from them and twice the order was wrong/damaged.
they also excessively charged me £5.70 postage but the sticker for postage states "postage paid £2.70" and the only packaging was a bit of tape on the ends of the pipe to stop the smaller pipe from falling out.

here you go £3.70 incl postage http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/EHEIM-2215-22...QQptZUK_Pet_Supplies_Fish?hash=item562e4bf959

Thanks for the warning.
I can't believe some places are charging up to £11 + delivery charges. It's ridiculous!

Thanks for the link also, I'll order one later.

you wont really be able to run the pump without the shaft, although the pump will run it wont turn over any water as the impeller wont be able to rotate :)

I've done it too . . . in the states (and Canada), you can get them at a place called Big Al's, and I bought some extra (just in case)

you cannot run the filter w/o them, unfortunately . . . but if you look online, or search for a dealer on the Eheim site, you might find a cheaper price for the part
