Eheim wet/dry canister anybody know why they seem to be discontinued?

Also seems with the FX5 price online would that be the better filter?

Thanks in advance

I didn't like eheim wet dries. Personally I like their classic stuff or even their professional II stuff.

One cant argue with the FX5 price but I would not trade my eheim 2262...

I have a 2229 model wet dry canister and it is a great bio filter. Not suitable for being the only filter on a large tank, but fantastic for bio. Can be used alone on any tank under 100 gal IME.

Had it for over 9 years. Never one problem. They are a bit tricky to figure out when you first get them, but once you understand how they work, it's a pretty simple design
