My tank is 300l, and has 9 large CA/SA cichlids and a few catfish.
I have finished my setup:
Eheim 2262, stacked with:
Bottom: 4L Eheim Mech Pro
Lower: 4cm Medium Blue Bonded Pads
Middle: 10L Marine Pure 1.5 inch Spheres
Top: 4cm Foam Batting
The Eheim 2262 has a 20mm T joint immediately after the pump outlet, the straight part goes directly to the spraybar
The right hand side of the T Joint feeds through to a 2 compartment 10 inch drinking water filter for under the sink, the first chamber has a 5 micron paper filter, the second compartment has a capsule inside that can have custom media added, this has 500ml Purigen/Macropore.
After the 2 stage filter, there is a 40w UV Steriliser
Then after the sterilizer it returns to the tank.
The flow raters for each side of the filter are 80% directly to the Spraybar so im guessing about 2000L/h, and 20% to the 2 chambers and the UV, roughly 600L/h
I also soundproofed the cabinet with egg crate foam!!
What are your thoughts, comments, suggestions, improvements?
