Probably the latter. :uhoh:

I write manuals for a living and whoever wrote this one should be shot. I can't figure this out. Even accounting for translation, the parts diagram still sucks.

The diagram is showing an unnumbered, unlabeled part that connects the spray bar to the outlet elbow, and a similar piece connecting the intake pipe to the strainer. I have nothing in my bag of parts that does this. All the parts that I do have are already accounted for on the diagram.

Am I missing something? Or is it a known thing that you need to go out and buy extra stuff?
 
I think you're supposed to cut a short length of the tubing to connect those parts together. I know that's the way it was with my 2217.
 
It looks like the green hose coupling...

thats what i did.

im still not sure what that curved green piece is for maybe a tube curver.

Birman , Yes its actually just a small chunk of your eheim tubing (1-2" of it) and yes it absolutely should be noted in the manual .
