Electric Bill In California

Wow so my electric bill for a 700 sq. foot little house is 190 a month! Does that sound high for a 240, 120, 80, 60, 30! the 240 has iwaki pump for the sump the rest have canisters. Since the 240 the bill went up 60 a month. I dont use much lights. I thought the iwaki was 20 watts and i just read the iwaki is like 145 watts.
Anybody else has a shocking electric bill?
 
yo man, after i put up the 400. it nearly killed me. my bills like 300 sumthing for a 400gal, 150gal, 100gal, 60gal. but that kinda included gas too so using the heater in my house set it up some too... im using a 205watt pump on the 400gal, but over 600watts of heating, plus lighting. man, thinkin about all the pumps i have plugged in for circulation and filtration. fish are expensive!
 
Well my gas is like 15 a month so my electric was 175 for this month! Was not even that cold either. I think electric is overpriced here in san diego!
 
not sure if youre aware, but the price of electricity in california did recently go up. might wanna look into it with your electric company, but mine went up significantly...
 
If you have PG&E you can do there plan which averages your bill for 12 months and bills you your average so that way you dont get a huge suprising bill. You may pay a little more on certain months but for me it better to pay $150 every month than $80 one month then $350 for the winter months. This is just an example
 
HOly ! You have all those tanks in a 700 sq. ft. house?????!!!! Thats crazy!!! I am having problems with my electric bill too, another reason So.california sucks, everythings too expensive!
 
Oh man, try living in Texas. Me and my neighbors bills are in the range of $550.00 to $1000.00 a month. No joke. My bill is usually $750.00 in the summer. Google "TXU electricity bills" and you will see the psychosis.
 
No regulation on electricity companie and the electric company now owns the gas company. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!
 
Electric Bill Update!
My bill is holding now at 160 a month! Should i lower the 240 temp a few degrees? Will that make a difference, seems the 300 watt heater is on all the time! Water is 80 degrees in all my tanks.
