Electric blue acara have laid eggs

Hello ? so my electric blues have decided to lay eggs on my filter pump so thought I'd share
Any advice or tips would be great
Tank- 4x2x2
Stocking- 2 electric blue acara
8 clown loaches
2 pictus catfish
1 Senegal bichirs

That may be a problem. Hopefully the female moves them quickly before any wrigglers get sucked up by the pump.

Well, momma won't have to do as much fanning with the water flow! You could try putting some cheesecloth on the filter with a rubber band.

Yes but I wouldn't risk messing around the eggs may cause confusion.

I think I'll let them do there thing and if they continue to use that spot I'll have to take a different approach maybe more suitable rocks near the filter pump

You will have to cover the filter intake because once the fry become free swimming they will swim near the intake. The suction will be too strong for the fry.

Thanks mate , They ended up eating the eggs this time around so I've put some sponge around the filter intake in preparation
