Saw some at my lfs when I was passing by today. Picked one up. Person told me there almost like the ebjd and are hard to come by. Has anyone came across one of these? I am currently growing him out in a 30 gallon with 2 ebjd, sucker fish and a Geo all about the same size. I'll try and take some photo's right now. He actually ate right away which is always a good sign. Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanjs

nice pickup, looking forward to some pics.. i only became aware of these lately, not sure where they come from... max size? are they a strain of blue acara or another acara? maybe their own species?? just a few questions id like to be answered!-)

If you search "electric blue acara", you will come up with lots of threads in MFK that have good info in them. I just commented on one last week and it had several detailed, reliable posts.

I just found it on a Google search. Thanks Mythic. Here's a couple of quick pics I took.

I breed them. Are right now on my 3th successful spawn. Nice fish. Still pretty new in the hobby. But I'm sure it will be very popular in the hobby. I have no problem selling the fryes.

Awesome! What do you mean by sucker fish? That could be anything from a common pleco to a shorthead redhorse.

Haha my bad. Was late night when I typed it. It's a common pleco that came with the tank when I bought it. He hasn't grown much at all for about year. It's some sort of albino pleco.
