Howdy,
it turns out 21 of the fry survived to this day. My LFS was willing to take 15 for $90 store credit, a great deal for them and for me. It's a win-win. I kept the parents and the six smallest to grow them out a little more.
This has been a fun journey, I didn't expect it when I put the parents in solitary confinement for roughing up other fish in my 75 gallon tank.

Saying good bye to the breeding pair and remaining offspring. Even though they have the reputation of being calm cichlids they were still a bit too rambunctious for my taste. Their refusal to stop breeding was a nice compliment that they liked their tanks, but it's a bit too much for me. Time to send them off to the LFS and get some other fish. Deeply grateful for the experience, though, and for everyone's input here on MFK on how to rear the fry. It was a fun streak. 
They are a fun and lively fish but they can get a bit wild for sure. Most of mine were pretty feisty. I had one calm goofball and one "cop" who stuck his nose in everyone's buisness! I also had a 'bad' pair where the male was always chasing and trying to breed and the female would whack him on the head because she wasn't interested! I finally had to separate them.
