well im picking up some electric blue demp. in the morning from my work does anyone have any advice on them i heard there tuff when there small but once they get to a certen size there ok is this true

From what I've heard ,they are not as hardy .Talked to a guy who is on his third blue jack. The first 2 died at 2 months and 4 months I believe.Of no aparent reason.
They are nice though...GL:)

They are pansies of the fish world, rather annoying when a fish dies for no reason. Hopefully you will have great luck with them. Don't feed them too many foods too often that are high in protein. And do plenty of water changes. Oh and keep it by itself. Buy more than one. Like six, bound to get at least one to adult sizes...lol....

Or you can look at their more delicate nature as a challenge…

When they are young they are prone to parasites. So anything you can do to reduce risk of them will help.

They do get hardier when they get older but I’ve seen/heard of young adults dying for no apparent reason as well.
