Sciaenochromis fryeri } I pick this beautiful Blue Hap only to find out it will not not coexist with my Peacock :irked: Anyone in Michigan want to trade heads up with a African

They can be sob's with other fish. I prefer the yellow blaze cichlid- it gets that cool flurescent blue like the alhi with about half of the agression. If you are near Royal Oak go to the Aquarium Shop on main street. He will trade you as he has a lot of Africans. Call first though.

How many aquarium suppliers around town do you go to ? How is his selection in comparison to Ocean and seas , Key's , Green wood , Sting ray bay , Anchor bay Aquri exc.... I never been to the one in royal oak

He has more less agressive haps and peacocks such as fire haps and the yellow blaze cichlids. You may also want to try Fantastic Fins in Livonia. He specializes in plecos but has a hell of a selection and has a lot of adult mbuna that he gets in on trade and will sell dirt cheap.

How large is your tank that it's not coexisting? I know some people report fryeri as total bastards, but I keep 1m/1f that do breed, along with peacocks and some yellow labs who are both also breeding groups and the fryeri is actually very docile. Maybe I just got the lucky nice one. Maybe also the smaller size of yours is that adolescent/angry stage? at 6+" mine is definitely not the king of the tank even though he's second in size only to a Fusco.

+1 my fryeri also lives with peacocks and some mbuna in my 55 gallon no problem. he's about 4.5-5 inches now and one of my biggest. he's also missing his right eye so maybe he's more cautious. i rescued him that way from the lfs. oh and at one point i had another fryeri in there, so 2 total (both males) and they didnt once fight. sorry to hear you got an aggressive one master.k, they're beautiful fish!

I'm keeping him in a second tank for now , I want to re-introduce him to the tank its a very nice looking fish 11bars with a very orange under fin . The peacock is the king of the tank , I am pritty sure it is the small tank I got 60gal , Its the smallest tank I ever owned I'm actually embraced about it , I'm in the works of getting atleast A 180 new but I'm also barter on crigslist for rifles or shotguns people like that stuff ill have another real tank up and running by April my birthday . The blue hase a problem with just the one male peacock but its a big one he hammers him har and will not let up , I guess ill put hi
back in and if he Miss behave ill pull him and try again
