Hi,
I have been working towards breeding EBJD for nearly a year now.
A few days ago I had my first spawn, an EBJD female X Blue Gene male.
I hope you will enjoy the videos:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WPwYogh6MOM - EBJD Female spawn with a Blue Gene Male. The male was born 5 months ago.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N3exjMD_Iiw - My EBJD male with a Blue Gene female...they haven't spawnd yet, the female is 5 months old. The male is around 1 year old.

I take it in those pics the EBJD is the male? Awesome job from what I have read with what you bred you should have a % being EBJD. Will you be selling of the BGJD?

awsome! That fish is really nice and what a set of teeth, they look fake!
Good luck and congrats on a great project.

nice EBJD wow :D  have had him since he was 2"?

Awesome color on that ebjd. Only thing he has a bit of a beak not too bad. Besides that he is a awesome looking ebjd I would give him a 9. The fry should look great. Good luck I can't wait to see how the fry look.

How big is he?

Thank you all !

I got this EBJD when it was a bit less than 2''. It is about 6 inch now (15 Centimeters roughly).

Here is another video...the quality isn't great but you can observe the fish actually laying eggs, moving the hatchlings - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PLVpPSKJ4ow

Here are some photos of my regular JD male, the father of the female that I have used in order to create the Blue Gene fish:

Very pretty fish you're working with...

...avoid inbreeding wherever possible to keep their progeny that way ;)
