electric blue problem

my electric blue jack has a triangular piece of flesh hanging underneath its chin.(You can see in the pictures) It was not there yesterday and he has not eaten anything unusual. Any ideas for what it is and possible treatment.

Maybe he just scratched it on something... Is there anything sharp in the tank that he may have hit?

Are there other fish in the tank? Maybe it got in a fight?

No other fish in the tank. He has a plastic plant in a flowerpot so he possibly could have scratched it on that. It has actually gotten a little bigger after a day.
