Okay, so here are photos of my current stock. Every African in my 75 was born here at my home. I now concentrate on growing my fry to adulthood. I have roughly 30 labs and 30 blues...the labs will go back to the store this coming Friday. The blues aren't big enough yet to get any real store credit yet. (2 -3 moths)

I'm torn between keeping my strongest and most striking males, so keeping 4 or 5 total. It is either that or keep a predator fish of some sort. I've been thinking about a native to TX and keeping a gar, bowfin, and channel cat but not really sure.

Please give me your thoughts...

Current Stock:
30 Labs
30 Electric Blues
1 common pleco
1 green phantom pleco
1 white spot pleco
3 clown loaches

nice. id keep breeding them and then with the credit you could buy another tank for the predator you want.
im thinking about breeding my electric blues, they never get the chance to go at it in my mbuna tank, they get told to go back up top. ill set up a smaller tank for them. i tried breeding yellow labs, i bought 6 and every single one was male:WHOA:. i even tried to get the ones that looked like females, but they all coloured up and started fighting and there are 3 left. one grew much bigger than the others and is now the alpha fish in my mbuna tank and is very agressive, even to so called extremely agressive mbuna like melanochromis auratus.

and electric blues are piscivorous and larger ones enjoy feeders. my male sometimes gets guppies or small platies as a rare treat, and loves them. never seen the female go for a live one yet. they won't be getting any more for a while because my guppy and platy numbers have heavily depleted after trying to establish them in my pond, which failed.

Well I would try to add another lab...usually you can find a large female to add. I must warn you that once they start they don't stop. I may continue to breed the blues, I can get much more credit for them as opposed to the yellows. The blues are fantastic looking once they color up but that can take 4 months or so...

I know I would enjoy a tank with some fully mature blues, all males of course but who knows maybe I'll continue to breed them.

Thanks for the comments...

Looks like you got a nice setup going! I would do the same as what thingthing said and keep breeding them for store credit. I get $0.75 for each Lab when they are about 1.5-2" which doesnt take too long when you feed em well. I will hopefully have close to 100 juvies and in 3-4 months or so I can get $75 for them. I'm sure there will be more juvies to come in that time too. Its like they all of a sudden just went baby crazy! I've had em for over a year now....and they just started having em! Good luck in your future endeavors!
