I picked this guy up due to having credit at my LFS. He was in bad shape a month or so ago, looking better everyday.

What was wrong with him? He looks pretty good now.

Fins were torn up and he wasn't showing as much color. Thanks for the reply!

Thank you. Do you have any info on growth rate and max size on this type of fish?

Once they get to the ~4 inch mark they really slow down on growing. Eventually they may get up to 7 inches but well you don't really see them much at that size.

Is this your first hap? But yah they seem to eat and eat... When I started off with my first I was still on the myth of given them as much as they will eat in ~1 minute... I learned quickly that give them a reasonable amount is better. (Oh and I quickly learned to buy food in 5 lb buckets.)

amen on the 5lb buckets... otherwise I would not be able to feed myself...
