Hello, I have an 8" electric catfish, I'm keeping it alone, it can eat 2" to3" feeders easily. İs there a suitable tankmate for e-cats? I heard synodantis species can stand their shocks but I really dont like syno cats, any other tankmate advice please?

nope... unless you know how to put a rubbersuit on your fish thats really about the only type of compatible fish with them

Ok then thanks for the answer.
Are synos really fully compatible with e-cats?
Does the syno has to be very large not to be affected by e-cat's shocks, or any size that e-cat cant eat, suitable?
And is that valid for all syno specieses?

As I know any kind of elecktic fishes are dangerous to each other.
Thanks for the answer, I may try synos if I can find one that I would like, they are ugly :(

Not all synodontis are ugly...I personally like several species of them (flavitaeniatus, multipunctatus, and decorus) Size isn't that important relative to the E cat unless you're talking like a 1" synodontis and a 18" E cat...even then the E cat probably wouldn't try to eat them. And to sure that they are fully compatible and size doesn't matter that much...pics from my old E cat setup. E Cats + Syno's = FTW!

That one pic of the flav is not mine the rest are from my e cat setup ~Trent
