electric eel has fungus or heater burn?

yesterday i moved my electric eel, and today it has discolored/whiteish patches on its sides, it never seemed stressed from the move(shocked me several time thought)and ate a bunch of krill today, iam not sure if its fungus or mabie heater burn? the heater was off the side of the tank this morning so iam wondering it whent and laid against it? in either cae what should i do? add some salt? mela or pimafix? i realy whant to be carefull sence its a scaleless fish and cost me a lot

Do you have pics? True fungal infections rarely occur. My guess is bacterial infection but without pics, it's not easy to determine. Bacterial infections can serve as secondary infections to wounds or burns. Water changes often will be sufficient enough. No need to add Melafix and anything else if suspected to be heater burns.
