Has anyone out there tried to measure voltage on an electric eel? I just got two this week. I saw a clip on a post in MFK. The way the professor measured his didn't make sense. I know a little about electricity and it would seem a probe would have to touch the fish and another to ground. He had his out of the tank with a probe on each end. He didn't have a meter. he had a buzzer. I don't want to remove them from the tank. I have a Fluke meter. I'm thinking I could extend one probe and clip the other to a ground source. I'm not trying to answer my own question. I'd like to hear some other ideas. I think it would be cool to measure their volts whenever I want.
