electric eel ?

what can live with an electric eel. i would think nothing would be safe in a tank with one. but i have never tried it so i wouldnt know. does anyone know or have tried it? thanks

I'm sure you could find some fish to live with them...... for a little bit. As soon as he's annoyed and zaps the tank, it's all over.

I was at the Vancouver aquarium a few weeks back, and they had a huge electric eel near the big arapiama tank. No tank mates, but he was pretty sweet!

at an aquarium near my house there is a an electric eel with...some catfish in it....and some tetras for dithers... i would do catfish or larger more aggresive fish...

I've kept some random cichlids with them. They eat almost anything they can get in their mouths.

But like Miles said, the instant it doesn't want tank mates, it zaps 'em.

Haha, you'd think so! But I never had any luck with that. They did ok at first, but with some size to them, they beat the crpa out of each other.
