Electric eel

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Electric eels can get as long as 8ft and 40+ lbs. In a home aquarium 5 ft is likely. Usually gulp air every 10min and need a cover. Will need a tank of 300 to 500g minimum due to size. Likely require a bigger tank once starts to put on size. 50% wc a week and no specific water requirements. Usually done with rubber gloves extending up to the shoulders. No tankmates as they likely will not survive. No problem with eating as will take live, frozen, and prepared foods. It's dangerous to care for if respect not given. Interesting for sure. Hope this helped.

What I've seen people on youtube do is add a wire connecting to the water from a speaker and just listen away when it's feeding time lol.
