electric eels

i just have a quick question about electric eels. can they be with other fish? if so what kind? or do they just need to be by them selves?

i hear they do well with plecos. bite sized fish and fish that bother them will not fare well

There are some cases where Electrics eels do fine with fish. But even yesterday there was a particular incident where an eel zapped a large Jardini. They can be very unpredictable and are best suited to people who can provide for a potential 5-6ft fish.
