We just got these in at the store I work at. They look like pretty cool to me, so I picked one up. Its tiny, maybe half an inch long. Has more of a blue hue to it than pink, but not as blue as the electric blues. Looks like they bred the electric blues to a leucustic (sp?) or something? Anyway, anyone else have one or see em yet?

I've seen some very small ones. They seem to die easier then ebjds. Good luck.

They were sold to the store from the same people who breed the electric blues as electric pink jacks, so that is what we are selling them as.

Just cause they are sold as that doesn't mean that's what they are. Many sellers give fish like that fancy names to sell faster. And deluxe is right they are platinums

One of the main ebjd breeders in florida has developed them and is selling as electric pink, I have seen a couple and they do look like a platinum but a bit different. Personnally i think the EBJD and Plat are better looking.

I call them Gold EBJDs because that's what they are: a combination of blue and gold recessive allele.

'Platinum' is always used to describe Leucism in fish as they lack pigment and have a bright white color to them. This is not a true 'platinum' variation of Jack Dempsey and if one were to be produced, what would it be called?
