about 5 days ago i took my female yellow out of my male show tank because my male yellow was rdy to breed and digging and chaseing n fightn my other fish, now that the female is out and after redoing the tank the yellow is still digging and biteing the fishs fins if they get around his spot. How can i get the yellow were hes not digging and fightn

It's just something they do naturally. You can't really stop it. You can help the fighting a little by rearranging the decore but that won't last forever. Mbuna like to dig and are huge fin nippers. It's just what they do.

One thing that helps is overstocking. Or you can buy a bigger tank. I feed my african cichlids 2 times a day. I have a 125 gal. with mixed african cichlids and the agression is pretty controled.

Electric Yellow males are very agressive toward their females. I always keep them in groups. If you have one dominent male I would put him with 3 or 4 females if you have a large enough tank. Elecric yellows are very hard to tell males from females. lol
