I have quite a big bearded dragon enclosure now and its made out of wood. Im wanting to add a fan to extract the stale air... I have half inch hols drilled in either side and quarter inch hols in the back... I pulled the fan out of my ps2 and am wanting to mount it to the back of the cage.uploadfromtaptalk1353356333914.jpg
This is the problem... How would i wire this... uploadfromtaptalk1353356479882.jpginto this... uploadfromtaptalk1353356522479.jpgor would i be better off just gettong a fan and of thats the case where can i get one i can mount into the back of the wood enclosure to extract stale air.... Thank you

You'll need to wire it to a transformer rather than a standard plug, and the specs of the transformer will depend on the fan I think. Thin speaker cable sold for audio setups can be used to connect it to the transformer.

That fan runs off of dc, while The rest of your system is ac, if it were me id take a plug in dc converter and just wire a standard plug onto your current system, then splice the fan wires and attach the fan to the converter plug in and whalah

You know like one of those plugs that you hook to your computer speakers so you can plug it in the wall, use one of those splice Tue wore and attach the fan, then wire just a standard wall plug into your system plug in the fan and its done, your lights control the fan if you splice it like that, or earlher in the system to have it constantly on

Ok so i just got one of theseuploadfromtaptalk1353384110870.jpg
But it doesnt necesarily have the plug in that is on the fan... So if o were to splice the fan in how do i know what wire os pos and neg... On the converter one wire has a line all the way down on it and the other is plain... On the ps2 one is grey and one is black... Im bout to google for the ps2 wires but what about the converter

Treat the gray like a white wire, same with the one with the line on it, if it doesn't work right try the other way, is that an ac/dc adapter?

Yes it is... I dont think ima get my ps2 fan to work without blowing it up so i may just go and get a comp fan from micro center tom
