Elephant nose

Anyone else keep elephant nose? I picked one up today, I am turning my bichir tank into an African oddball tank. Figured its big enough to be safe and seems to get along just fine with the african knife, ropes, and upper jaw bichirs. Kinda like this oddball theme...anyone else?

Wow, they're just a bit younger than I am. Congrats on keeping them that long!!!

I just inherited them 6 momnths ago from a customer of mine that kept them in a 30g tank for 17 1/2 years. Poor fellas didn't know what to do in a 125. They swam in the same 30" circle for a day before they realized they had more room!

Yup & still looking great. Even eat flakes! Get along well with the others too, considering they've never seen another fish before.

So despite what other sources claim, adults still do well in groups... I have suspected that all along. Good to know!

Any pics? I'd love to see some larger ones. All of the ones I've ever seen are 4-6". How big are yours?
