weakly about the tank and slowly floating to the top- he appears to be dying! i did a 50 percent water change today due to green water and he and his buddy are both behaving strangely, but the other seems to still be healthy- although he's hanging out with the angels ,something they never do. i paid 20 bucks a piece for these lovelies and don't want to loose them...what could be wrong?!
its a 55 gallon with five med. angels, four ctenopomas, two small yo yo loaches, one hillstream loach and 10 emperor tetras.
i treated the tank with prime* water conditioner, algae destroyer and wardleys chlor out.the tank has been running for over six months and is well planted and decorated with heater and two appropiate sized hang on back whisper power filters.the tempature is 70 degrees, the quick dip test strips indicate nitrate at 20,nitrite at .5, hardness 25,chlorine 0,alkalinity at 40 and ph at 6.2
the nitrite and the ph are the only stats that could be changed a bit,but neither are in a 'kill your fish' zone.
i want to save him but have no idea what to do...i have a wal mart rescued green spotted puffer in my hospital tank!
please help!
