My new 4" elephantnose was bitten in the midsection (1cm behind the pectoral fins) by an 8" bichir. The bichir fortunately didn't deathroll (which would've probably torn the poor thing in half) but there are red marks on the elephantnose where it was bitten. What can I do?
I suppose I just need to keep the wound from being infected, and then it will either heal or die?

It disappeared. I think it died, floated and overflowed out of the refugium it was in into my turtle tank.
That or it jumped behind the tank.

i would have said melafix but sounds like your turtles took care of it sorry for the loss
