Was going to PU a Elephantnose at my LFS. Was told that their diet should consist mainly of bloodworms. After doing some research online some suggest that bloodworms should only be fed as a treat because they are "junk food" and do not contain adequate nutrition. What would your recommendations be for a steady diet for the elephantnose?

Thanks

Past I've fed pellets, flake food, brine shrimp, cut earthworms. Always weren't too picky.

Make sure you look for any Elephant Nose that has sunken stomach and pass on them. If Elephant Nose is finicky feed bloodworms to stimulate eating response then alternate the bloodworms with other foods like was stated above.

How many times a week would you do bloodworms? Also, what are opinions on the electrich field of the Elephantnose harassing or stressing out other fish in the tank? (In a good sized aquaria).

I personally would offer Bloodworms twice a week once Elephant Nose is eating other foods. The electric field should not affect the other species unless they are related to Knife fish.
