I had a pair look like they were breeding but they stopped feeding in high nitrate water, keep it under 50ppm if you can.

I love the lake Tanganyika spiny eels they all have great patterns

Early days but it's feeding well and thank you for info I'll keep my eye on the nitrate

I've kept fire eels and tyre track eel a while ago but this one seems more impressive
