So I had my sister feed my fish while I was away for a couple days, in hindsight I shouldn't have had her feed the big guys at all. Well, I come in my room and all my pellets had spilled out of the bag and into a bucket with an inch of water... All ruined. My pbass is looking skinny, would feeding him and my other big guya raw haddock be a bad thing? I have work and no time to get to the LFS, but at work I have access to raw haddock I can bring home later. Also got a double shift tmw so idk if I can get to the LFS tmw either

Thoughts? I know saltwater fish as a staple feed for freshwater fish isn't too good but just for a day or 2?

We also have mussels and shimp but they are precooked and packaged for soup.

I think precooked shrimp would be fine. My dat gets raw shrimp and tilapia and I haven't witnessed any problems.

You should be fine feeding them that until you get a chance to go the the lfs. I used to feed my arowana raw shrimp, seafood mix with raw beef heart until I sold him.

In 2 days the PBass got skinny?

Most carnivorous fish don't eat everyday. It's not necessarily healthy, and definitely not natural. Maybe, just wait until you have food you want to give them is a good idea?

He's only 5-6 inch if he was larger I wouldn't be worried at all and I have a feeling she wasn't feeding them as much as she should have then that happened so they haven't been fed in like 3 days. My wolf was either happy to see me or pissed he wasn't fed enough as he was whipping around the tank biting at my green tex pbass and Geo. Also if I can't get there tmw which there is a high probability I will not it'll be like 5 days, which is way too long

And that's how I successfully keep a red wolf with a bunch of other fish, I keep him well fed as if he gets hungry enough he will decapitate something and eat part of the body or decapitate it for no reason and leave it. IME the hungrier wolves get the more violent they are.

Thanks rampage that gives me some peace of mind, I'll be bringing them some haddock tonight. Maybe dust small pieces with baby pellets (NLS 1 mm, bichirs and the rest eat them but not my red wolf or pbass they ignore them)

Thanks again rampage my pbass and bichirs love it! My wolf though isn't taking kindly too it which is weird since he has always been my most flexible eater and will eat anything.
