Hey guys just got a new arrowana yesterday looked in the tank today and realised he has ich. He is only 3 inches long and is in a tank with other baby datnoides and plecos what is the most effective way to not only cure ich but keep it from spreading to the other fish?

Doesnt sound to bad bump up the temp and add salt. To keep it from spreading or coming back keep the fish in low stress environments and clean water.

Good advice I imagine most will suggest the same, temp bump and just in case aquarium salt 1 or 2 teaspoons per 10 gallons I believe is the recommended amount.

will just regular table salt be ok?

The whole reason I said use aquarium salt is because I wanted to create as little confusion for you as possible. That's why I said just in case figuring you'd ask exactly this question use aquarium salt. How ever if your sure that you know what uniodized salt is(as suggested by azjc) and know where to find it in your local food store you can use that. It must not be the regular iodized table salt that is probably what you and your family are using as a seasoning, unless your family uses only organic unrefined food. Then maybe your table salt is already uniodized, by why take the chance?

DONT USE TABLE SALT! and bump your temp to 83-84 wait it out

Exactly, just spend the few extra bucks better then losing your whole stock.
