Hello all. First post here, please dont rip me apart. I'm only doing this to try and save my gar of over 10 years life! Please I dont wanna argue with anyone over stupid things!. I have a spotted gar in a 500. Water conditions are withing acceptable limits per my wife testing them once per month and a 25% water change one per month. We came home one evening after dinner and he was laying on the bottom of his tank on his side. Gills still moving. Nothing else. This is the strange part. His whole underside, is caved in! Its concave. The entire length of his underside is a concave v shape from behind his gills clear to his tail. He had eaten several large guppies a few days before and looked in excellent shape, now he looks famished like he hasnt eaten in years. Can anybody tell me what's going on? What I should do? He has several feeder fish in there with him that he hasnt ate. Water conditions continue to be fine. Could a parasite do this? Thank you for any help from anybody. I'm sorry I posted this here,if it's the wrong place. I'm sure there is someone who has asked this question before, and I just couldn't find it, and I'm a little short on time seeing as my gar looks like he could die at any moment..
