EMERGENCY HELP NEEDED!!

Hey a buddy of mine just called... he has two oscars in a tank together, they are about 8" and 5"... he said that the 5" was missing a pectoral fin... and he wanted to know if i knew any he could do to help it... I DONT KNOW WHAT TO TELL HIM!!! he says that the fin is completly gone including the rays of the fin... any fast responces would really be appreciated

Seperate the two of them, and treat with melafix.

thanks for a quick responce... what size tank could be used for a hospital tank for a fish this size? i dont think he has another tank and all mine are used up right now... would a ten gallon be ok?

Use a tank divider, turn the temp up over a few days to 82 degrees and add salt.

Tank divider would be the best.

seperate with tank divider, raise temp to 82ish, and use melafix

there is no need to use a ton of meds, just make sure the water is perfect with nitrates less than 10ppm and it will help the healing process go a lot quicker
