Due to personal reasons I haven't been able to take care of my oscar the way I should. I skimped out on water change after water change and now i'm screwed.
He's eaten maybe 5 pellets in the last two weeks. On sunday when I got home he wasn't able to control his swimming and was upside down at one point and vertical with his head to the floor of the tank. I immediately did a 75% wc followed by another one yesterday. He's mostly been staying on the bottom, with some attempts to swim around, only to lose balance once he gets toward the middle of the tank.
I thought it might be constipation causing his swim bladder issues due to giving him tilapia fillet almost every feeding so I gave him an epsom salt bath yesterday and it seemed to help him.
This morning I woke up and he's on his side, but still breathing.
What can I do to save him? Should I bring down the temperature to bring up oxygen levels? Should I try force feeding him?
This guy was the fish that got me into this hobby, please help me save him.
