Pls help me
Today I noticed signs of dropsy iny male betta
Is saw his scales were looking more clear and I saw frilled scales on his head pls help me

It does not have deformity that bump on head are frilled scales

Don’t think it looks like dropsy usually looks to me, as this more often affects the body region first with the head being last to see the effects.
Actually looks like when years ago internal pumps had less protection and fish could get sucked up, or their heads sucked into pipe work. I assume that’s not a possibility in a small bowl.
That said, managing water stability in just 2.5 gal won’t be easy but not sure how a single fish would “catch” / come out with dropsy symptoms.

I don’t see the pine cone effect but the head does seem like it maybe. Can always dose some kanamycin.

I don’t really know how you can help your fish but dude get a bigger tank. I personally think all fish should get at least 10 gallons(I’m not saying all fish should be in a 10 gallon).
