OK well I am setting up a salty tank and I had an issue. I had the tank full of water and live rock and everything but then I wanted to add a sump. Well in the pics below you will see that my crap stand has a piece of wood right down the middle I guess supporting the stand.
Ok here is my questions. I was told that particle board stands are no good and will collapse if they get wet. Well this one has been wet a lot so I don't know the truth behind that LOL although I am Mr. Paranoia so I want to make sure.
Ok I need to remove the center brace and make room for a sump and still make sure my tank is sturdy.
How can I go about doing this???
I was thinking of maybe making a 2 x 4 frame and simply stick it in the inside and make it the same dimensions as the interior of the stand. This would act as a "incase $hit happens" Although would it really do anything???
I am basically looking to make room under this tank so if someone can help me that would be great LOL
