Hello all....I hope this goes here. I couldn't find a specific category for this situation......I was asked by a relative if I wanted a 20 long, with filters and lights, I of course said yes.....well to my surprise..(or should I say shock) he shows up with the tank and stuff.....then puts a large vase on my counter, with a pink convict, 3 tin foil barbs, and 2 fish I have no clue what they are......
So I had six fish in probably a 3/4 gallon vase on my kitchen table. He says they come with the tank.....well I didnt have a tank set-up waiting for the unexpected guests, and had to put his 20 long together fast.....The fish in the vase didnt look so hot, so I ran a small air pump in there and they perked up a bit....the barbs were floating upside down.......I had about 10gallons of distilled water ready for a tank, the rest was tap, I did a couple of tests, and things werent too far off( i know its going to go nuts during the cycle).....
It was either slow death in the vase or a hail mary in the tank....( i called everyone I could with a tank to see if they wanted the above said victims)......well it seems like they are doing ok right now....they are sifting the gravel and chasing each other around...the pink convict found himself a home already....its been a few hours.........my question is the other 2 fish I have no clue what they are, and I would like to list all of them free to a good home(just want to be sure I name them right).....here are some pics, any help is appreciated
