Hey everyone.... My power went off around 6pm eastern time it is 1010 right now and its still off.. i'm over at iheartfishies house... how long will my fish be safe without oxygen... in the 150 gallon there is 2 dats a gar, peacock bass and a pike.. in the 125 its just the fahaka so i'm sure he will be fine... I dont know what to do.....

stir the water with a spade/ladle/something if you're concerned about oxygen, and don't feed them.

8"+ fish have died on me within like 6-7 hours after the power's went out, in the past

An old technique I used before getting a generator was to get a tire tube, or raft, or anything that hold air. Inflate it, connect an airline and airstone to it with a regulator valve. Drop the stone in the tank and open the valve til you get a good flow of bubbles. Tire tubes work best and can aerate a tank for a couple of hours before needing reinflation.
If you have $30 to spare, hit up a department store and pick up a DC to AC converter and an extension cord. Plug the converter to your car's cigarette lighter and you can power an air pump or powerhead for hours.

yeah, having a good inverter and a long extension cord can go a long way. Kept my house livable for 2 1 week stretches during the hurricanes last year.
