Just found some of these guys at my lfs and bought four, I am looking for more. I would also like to know if any members are currently keeping these fish or know anything of importance about them?

I've kept their interrelated cousins, Inpaichthys kerri also known as purple emperor tetras however requirements are still similar. Mine tend to eat aggressively and outcompeted several tetras over their foods otherwise these are peaceful community fish but you need to make sure others get their fair share of foods. 2 inches is the max size although 1.5 inch seems the norm for most.

Thanks lupin, exactly what I was looking for, they are a beautiful fish.

I've found them to be somehwat delicate, more like the smaller tetras (cards, rummies, etc.) instead of like the larger robust types (buenos aires, mexican, blind cave)

Funny, I just ordered some Purple Kerri and Emperor Tetras for the LFS, people seem to dig em.
