Emperor 400 filter making strange noise

After my water change today I noticed my filter was really loud and gurgling and the noise won't go away. I didn't do anything different this time... It is filled with water so i don't know why it is being so loud... Any ideas?

Do you use sand as your substrate? If so, it is likely that you got some sand in your impellor.

Otherwise you probably got something else in your impellor, or it isn't seated properly.

Did you jar something loose? Turn off power, reseat the intake fill everything up with water and restart again...is the water flowing when it runs?

Sounds like gurgling means air is in it. pitch it get an ac110 or better yet a canister or sump!

filters are to loud you should go for a diy

No sand in my tank, I will have to look into DIY not so interested in a dump. And good steps or videos for a diy filter... Or just a quiet filter of any sort?
