Try the African boards...Tanganyika....they get huge...need 400-600+ gallon tanks...

I like to call them the african peacock bass very well worth getting

I've seen them grow in a friends 600 gallon tank at a rate that was unbelievable!

I heard Emperor cichlid is not supposed to be housed in an aquarium cuz of thier temperment. These ones ate the store are sooo aggressive, try to take off your hand through the glass.

Yes Tanganyikan,
I have a big girl about 26" & use to have another pair. They would eat 9-10" male frontosas for lunch. Eat 12" Red Devils for desert.
She attacks me the cleaning equipment etc. Awesome fish but either have a single fish in a 36" width tank as a pet or a swimming pool for them?
They can reach 40" & 30lbs full grown.
