Emperor cichlid info please!

hey guys just wanted all the low down from any one who kept these before. main questions are, about successful tank mates and temperament???
also if anyone no's where to start looking for one in uk that would be wicked! thanks for your help guys!

I haven't kept any...yet. But from what people say, their aggression isn't too bad until that 30-35cm mark (with 45cm or so left to grow). The dominant and even sub-dominant ones almost have to be kept alone at that point. Unless you're keeping them in a lake or something. I've pretty much accepted that once I get one and it outgrows whatever tank I start it in, it will live in a small pool in my basement by itself. But sorry, I haven't seen any vendors in your region. Good luck with it, though, they are awesome fish.
