Has anybody ever heard of one of these? Many years ago lfs would have them every once in a while. Looks the same as the Royal Clown but is black as black can be. One of the most aggressive fish I ever owned. Far more aggressive than the Red Bellied P's I use to keep. And was that thing FAST! Had it for a year or so and it grew to be about 8" to 9," was keeping it with a few big silver dollars in a 50g breeder. Haven't been able to find any pict that match what I had.

Was it like a royal but darker or was it black? If it's the latter, you may have a Notopterus Notoperus. It's the smaller of the Asian Knife fish, but is the most aggressive one out of all of them.
