Hi im new here and I read some of the sticky about this specific channa, but didn't see any info if I should go with a planted or plain tank. Any suggestion?

Best stuff iv fount is duckweed, sort of stuff you get floating on ponds, can take over quickly so you will be scooping it out quite often but really keeps the levels down.
