Hi all....first time poster here.

I have an empty 75G tank that is waiting for a new resident. I want a SA or CA cichlid to be the sole owner of the tank. Must be aggressive, not timid where it hides all day, grow to a decent size and develop kok.

Does anyone have suggestions of a good fish to get that will do well on its own? I'd like to get a Midas, but can I house one in a 75?

If I had an empty 75gal...I would get a flower horn....They are so beautiful! But if they are not available, I would get a pair of frontosas...I think they are really neat too!!!

I would probably go with Flowerhorn as well but I would not go for the common one and would drop a few bucks to have a nice center piece.

As far as Frontosas go I do not suggest it, they would be much happier in a group.

frontosa's do great as a pair... get say 4 or five of them a lil younger and wait for two to pair up or if you are lucky enough buy a proven adult pair and then you can sell the offspring at a mint price...

if you are going for a lively group of fish, I would go with convicts... they have brought my tank to life and if you have a breeding pair you will get fry no questions asked... if you want aggressive I would not go with the frontosa they are not agressive and they will be tormented by other more aggressive fish, not to mention that they are expensive at most local fish stores.
